“Forget about it” 

a “mafia expression”?

Cosa significa? Pay attention, fai attenzione, e ascolta qui la spiegazione direttamente dall’attore Johnny Depp, che recita il ruolo di protagonista nel film "Donnie Brasco", tratto da una storia vera di mafia e violenza, molto intenso, grandi attori, grande interpretazione!

Se non ti è tutto chiaro allora…

Ecco il testo di ciò che dice:

“Forget about it's like, if you agree with someone, you know, like "Raquel Welch is one great piece of ass, forget about it." But then, if you disagree, like "A Lincoln is better than a Cadillac? Forget about it!" you know? But then, it's also like if something's the greatest thing in the world, like meaning those peppers, "forget about it." But it's also like saying "Go to hell!" too. Like, you know, like "Hey Paulie, you got a one inch pecker!" and Paulie says "Forget about it!" And then, sometimes it just means forget about it.”

Chiaro, no?! Alcuni piccoli approfondimenti per te:

-          prendiamo la frase “Forget about it's like,…”  quel “like” in inglese in questo caso (nel parlato in generale) si usa come intercalare e corrisponde in italiano al nostro “tipo”. La frase “Forget about it's like, if you agree with someone,…” la tradurremmo come “Forget about it, è, tipo, se sei d’accordo con qualcuno…”.

-          Anche “you know” si usa spesso come intercalare nel parlato = sai (“Forget about it is like, if you agree with someone, you know…).
